stoic is a gym for your feet

Challenge your feet with our Warrior River Rock and Forest Floor surfaces. If you already have a stoic base kit (discontinued) you can use these with it, but you can use them without the basekit as well! Just toss one or both on the floor and step on.

Warrior surfaces have a harder durometer, for those looking for a more intense standing experience. For a softer experience, see the Natural FlowState surfaces. Warrior is recommended for those looking to level up their foot health or for those who already spend ample time barefoot.

The problem

For millions of years, our ancestors were barefoot. People had wide toes, solid arches, and extremely strong feet that could handle any obstacle nature provided. Unfortunately for us modern humans, wearing shoes our entire lives has basically been like putting our feet in a cast every day. Wearing shoes alters the structure and function of the foot resulting in a weakened appendage that is almost unrecognizable compared to the robust, anti-fragile feet of our ancestors.

Although standing desks have exploded in popularity and have a ton of health benefits, people are still wearing shoes all day and at worst standing on the smooth, hard floor or at best an unnaturally flat anti-fatigue mat.  This is bad.

Barefoot is better.

When barefoot, the 26 bones, 30 joints and more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments are free to move. The movement builds strength, mobility, flexibility and range of motion making you a more robust human. Honor your DNA and stand on Stoic.

Before shoes, our ancestors were barefoot for 2 million years. Their daily lives were spent walking, running, squatting, kneeling and standing on highly varied, uneven terrain. People had wide toes, solid arches, and extremely strong feet that could handle any obstacle nature provided.

Not only do they have to carry us around all day, but they also get shoved unnaturally into shoes, boots, and other modern forms of footwear that may look sweet, but come at a cost.  Massage improves circulation, stimulates muscles, reduces tension, and often eases pain.

Benefits:

  • Strengthens muscles in your feet & legs
  • Lets your toes spread naturally
  • Builds stronger arches
  • Improve balance and body awareness
  • Increases range of motion in joints
  • Stimulate your brain
  • Improve the mind body connection
  • Daily use may reduce inflammation caused by plantar fasciitis

Use in the shower!

I am not always barefoot and stationary in the house, and I found that putting this in the shower is the perfect place for me! I get several minutes a day of an intense foot message without taking extra time out of my day to specifically work on my feet. Try it!

Great product for what it is

It is an unusual product for sure. I use the stoic all the time and the original mats are softer, but not by much. A little fooled by the hardness of this product. Quite similar to the original pads. My expectation and desire. I assume. Saying that cuz the warrior pads are not refundable. But, I gotta say the stoic has saved many times after long mountain climbs and being able to self message the super flat feet I have. The stoic has been a god send for me; I still cannot find the right shoes for all the rucking and wilding I do. The stoic keeps me on my toes.

Core & Balance

Great design underfoot! Builds your balance and your core. Great for using in free weight training. Maximize my time just placed it underneath my standing desk too and I’m building my core while I work. Can’t wait to barefoot hike!!
Thanks Monkii for another tool in my quiver!!! 💚🐒

Relieves lower back pain quickly

I slightly injured my L5-S1 lower back region while working out that morning. Although it was causing considerable pain, I nonetheless needed to go to work where I spend most of my time at a standing desk. These new surfaces had arrived and I began standing on them as I worked. Within 20-30 minutes, the back pain went away, which is probably attributable to standing in varied positions across the surfaces. That’s something you wouldn’t do on any ordinary standing desk may. It didn’t completely resolve my back pain, nor did I expect it to do so, but it certainly helped immensely.

This is great

Perfect way to exercise a little bit, stretch and relax, all at the same time. The best quality, as always.
