I have used and reviewed multiple rucks/packs over the last year. I own quite a few. I recently received my wildgym co ruck, and it is by far, the best design on the market. The exterior is well thought out with adequate padding, dual chest straps, pockets, everything a rucker needs. The inside, the light weight aluminum frame SOLD me. It's amazing. There is no other ruck that is comparable on the market. I feel like wildgym knows what a rucker needs, and gave us exactly that.

All you need to get started

Okay, my headline is misleading. It's not all you need. It doesn't come with a shirt, underwear, pants, a hat, or...okay, I'm just being silly. Genuinely, if you're interested in rucking (or yomping if you're British), this is a fantastic deal.

I carry mine nearly everyday because I use it as a lunch bag at work. With food, a thermos of coffee, and the 30 pound weight it comes to about 50 pounds. When I get to work (about an hour before my shift starts), I cinch up the hip straps, clip my clips, and just walk for about 40 minutes or so while listening to music or a podcast. Yes, I get a bit sweaty, but with my job, the exercise is much needed. Plus, my coworkers get a kick out of it because most of them can barely lift it...yet.

I'm a big proponent of rucking (though I don't like the word - sorry, but if just sounds pretentious to me) because I used to be a wilderness guide and a wildland firefighter. At both jobs I had to carry a pretty darn heavy pack. I know how beneficial it can be to your overall health and fitness, and petty much anyone can do it.

So, wait. Couldn't you just use a weighted vest? You can, sure. I have for years, and I still do sometimes. It's great. Contrary to some of the videos I've seen (*ahem* Dan), I find mine to be extremely comfortable and it doesn't mess with my mobility. I wear it trail running mostly. But is it breathable? No. No it's not.

Unlike the Wild Gym Ruck, I can't just shrug it off. It's more like....peeling, which is kinda gross. And if I wear it over a shirt, then I gotta peel off the vest AND a shirt. Plus, my vest only holds 20 pounds, and even an expensive plate carrying vest is usually going to top out around 60. The Wild Gym Ruck will hold over 100 pounds! Will I ever max it out? I don't know, but I like options.

Now, I don't think this is a perfect product. I would have liked to see a bit more adjustability, maybe some extra pockets, and definitely more external Velcro because I like ridiculous patches. As it is, though, you can get it pretty darn dialed in, patches are fun but unnecessary, and the pocket you do get is pretty flipping big.

Overall, I found this bundle to be one of the best deals out there. Can you find a less expensive ruck sack? Yes, but none of the ones I found gave me the confidence that this one does. I expect it to last for years. The workmanship on mine appears to be exceptional, and customer support has been incredibly friendly (and patient when I have silly questions). I won't say this is the perfect ruck for everyone, but I would make this purchase again, no question about it. And this bundle is stellar. Highly recommended.

I rucking love my wild gym system

Another vest type was originally recommended to me. They were out of stock. So I went down the rabbit hole of companies and products. I chose yours bc I need a little creature comfort while doing hard things;) The original I was looking into started with removable weights of 2lbs. I was intimidated by the starting weight of even 10lbs. I am on a healing journey and I am also overcoming some shoulder, back hip issues and wondered if I was erring to put load on unused hurting parts. To my delight it actually helps put me in a better form and keep me there…so much so that the inbetween days I try to give my body a rucking rest, the walks felt harder without my ruck.
I am not too much slower on my ruck walks and I am more tired and more hungry whic tells me my body is really being worked.
I also find it interesting that on my normal walk I can start out in pain and then as I round towards the end I get more pain relief. With the ruck I can start out with my pre ruck pain. It works my mind to keep going but I am amazed that the pain is much shorter lived the days I ruck…I did buy another plate so I can work up but it is wisdom to me now to go slower. My goal is to be able to carry my grand baby in Sept;)

Love my new Wild Gym Back pack

I just got my wild gym back pack complete ruck syster. I've taken it out on 4 ruck walks. I work out every day. I am a runner. I am short. 5'1" and about 110lbs. The pack feels great and I love it. It is well made and is quality outfit.
I have cinched up every strap to get it to fit. So every strap is rather long and dangling. I do tuck them in, so I am not bothered with them.
Right after I purchased the back pack complete syster the feather pack came out and I am wondering if I could exchange the backpack that seems a bit larger than the Featherpack? Could you respond to this request?
I am discovering rucking and I love it so far. Your pack is great
