"In wisdom gathered over time I have found that every experience is a form of exploration."
-Ansel Adams
The Specs:
4-move progression to work up to toes-to-bars. Once you can do 4 sets of 8 reps, try moving on to the next progression.
Knee Raise
Leg Raise
Knees-to-Elbow
Toes-to-Bars
So according to Ansel, every workout, or, even every exercise can be considered a form of exploration. I like to look at physical training as an exploration of yourself. What is the current state of your body? What areas need improvement? Where are your strengths? Your weaknesses? What can you do today so that you are better tomorrow? This week's video and email was inspired by monkii Lukas who was looking for some exercises that he could do to improve his toes-to-bars. This is a challenging exercise that requires a wild level of core strength. There are also plenty of excellent exercises that train the same musculature as the Toes to bars, but are a bit easier. Try out these exercises as an alternative, or, supplement to Toes to bars. Once you can do 4 sets of 10 repetitions, it's time to bump up to a more challenging exercise. Let us know how it goes and please let the monkii Society know how else we can help you be a wilder monkii.
