League of Wildness,
The idea of something qualifying as hard is relative to the individual.
If you’ve never Rucked a mile before - that might be hard.
If you’ve never done a Pullup before the first one will be hard.
If you’ve never written a book before - getting the words out of your mind and onto paper is hard.
AND THIS IS EXACTLY THE POINT.
With the new Challenge League launching on January 5th, 2026 - I wanted to make sure we communicate what it is and who it’s for clearly.
The Challenge League is for People who:
- Value consistency over intensity
They don’t chase hype workouts or PRs - they show up, week after week, year after year. - Choose discomfort on purpose
Cold, rain, hills, fatigue - they understand that doing hard things is how strength and character are built. - Train outside whenever possible
They believe fresh air, sunlight, weather, and exposure are features - not obstacles. - Want structure without obsession
They want a clear plan and accountability, but not at the expense of their life, family, or sanity. - Care more about who they’re becoming than how they look
Fitness is a tool for resilience, confidence, and longevity - not vanity or ego.
My intent is to make it crystal clear that the Challenge League is NOT something where you have to:
Wake up at 4am everyday, take a 5 minute ice bath, eat only salad and cold chicken breasts, and run 10 miles before breakfast.
But you do have to be willing to be uncomfortable.
This past weekend I went to a Christmas party at a man named Eric Weihenmayer's house.
Eric is blind.
Eric has also climbed Mt. Everest, climbed El Capitan in Yosemite, and has done serious whitewater kayaking.
He did all this without sight.
He did all this without sight.
I’m not saying you need to take up extreme sports and chase “firsts”, “bests”, or anything like that.
Challenge League isn’t about winning or losing.
Instead - I’m asking you to take a step towards becoming who you could be if you build a lifestyle centered around extreme consistency.
I took a quote from Eric’s “No Barriers” motto that I think does a good job at summarizing this:
“No Barriers is about living with a purpose, pushing fear aside and living the life you always wanted.”

Not through intensity.
Not through perfection.
But through consistency - and the courage to choose discomfort.
